“Messages from Austinmer” is an art and community project based around the creative community of the Illawarra. It is a collaboration with artist, curator and educator Deirdre Arthur-Armstrong.
The concept of “Messages from Austinmer” is ever evolving, and revolves around connecting community through creativity.
It is about sharing, creating, collaborating, exploring and untangling the creative fabric of the local Illawarra community. It explores existing – be they dense or loose – networks and clusters of the creative and wider community. Knowledge, works and words are being passed on.
